I have known Rico since we were just kids since we went to the same K-8 school. Class sizes never breached much above 25 people, so all knew each other very well. When he contacted me about getting photos done, I was over the moon since he spilled the beans that he wanted to propose to his girlfriend. We got to the beautiful Walkersville Heritage Farm Park in Walkersville, MD right outside of Frederick, took a walk around and quickly got to the covered bridge he said he was going to propose in front of... What he couldn't tell me in the moment was that he changed since mind since the bridge wasn't what he imagined! I felt so nervous and afraid maybe it wasn't going to happen? We continued the shoot, walking here, there and everywhere... At the end of it, I asked them if they had anywhere in mind that they still wanted to go to, which is when Rico chimed in that he liked a small bridge over a steam by the edge of the park. The newly-proposed proposal location was perfect! A cute little steam, adorable painted bridge and we even saw a beaver swim by!
When Rico got down on one knee, you could see the overwhelming joy in Alexandra's face. I am so happy he asked me to capture such a sweet moment and I cannot wait for their wedding next September!
